Who is it?

A body of Black gay, bisexual, and same-gender-loving men who reside in the Chicagoland area.

What do they do?

These individuals are charged with working directly with us to assist with our creation of our leadership, professional, and workshop programing. They also facilitate support groups, engagement activities, and recruitment.

When do they meet?

They meet once a month, but communicate weekly to discuss CBGMC programming, as well as other happenings in the Chicago area.

​

What are the goals?

1) To develop the leadership capacity of community members, including the development of specific skills (e.g., networking, event planning).

 

2) To improve community members' sense of racial esteem, sexual esteem, and progressive masculinity/manhood.

 

3) To promote community norms associated with the core values of the Caucus.
